Ann Maria Tjagvad came to me wanting to get her messages out into the streetscape ahead of the 2025 municipal election in Vallensbæk. My task was to turn her vision and wishes into graphic materials that could feel personal while still fitting the visual identity of the Conservative People’s Party (Det Konservative Folkeparti).

From idea to material
Ann wanted to come across as bright and friendly, yet still clearly connected to the party. I therefore took the party’s design guide as my starting point and worked with bright imagery, colours and an airy layout.
From that visual direction I developed a brochure and a flyer for handing out. The focus was on creating a clear common thread between the materials, so Ann was instantly recognisable wherever you met the campaign. At the same time I worked with hierarchy and the placement of messages, so the information was easy to decode and could catch the eye quickly in a busy election campaign.

What I take with me
The project gave me experience working for a real client and turning personal wishes into graphic solutions within an existing design guide. As a media graphic designer (mediegrafiker) I had to think about visual identity, target audience, typography and production, all while the materials had to work in the real world.
Ann was elected to the town council in Vallensbæk with 251 personal votes.
